History
Eng. Mohamad Ibrahim Ali- Ahmad established NMC As Salama Hospital under the name “Khobar Pediatric and Maternity Hospital” in the year 1958. In the year 1965, the name of the hospital was changed to As Salama Hospital. It was the first private hospital in the region of the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Because of rising demand in the eastern province in Saudi Arabia, the hospital saw a major restructuring by adding 60 beds for in-patients in the year 1978. The hospital, till 1988, was equipped with world-class facilities in special care units, labor and delivery rooms, cardiology units, intensive care units, operation theaters, and isolation wards. New space for out-patients was acquired and the hospital saw an expansion in terms of 2 dental clinics and renovation of emergency rooms in the year 1995. In the year 2019, the As Salama hospitals join the NMC group and were renamed as NMC As-Salama Hospital. The hospital was established with the vision for providing high-class treatment facilities in both acute and chronic disorders to the people of Al-Khobar and surrounding areas.
